October 22, 2011 Defend Rural America Launched
Defend Rural America was officially launched on October 22, 2011 at a meeting in Yreka, California where over 1000 people, 50 groups, and 8 sheriffs united to save the Klamath River dams in Siskiyou County, California. The dams were saved, as least for this round, and an unprecedented level of cooperation created amongst at least 15 counties in Northern California and Oregon.
